SHP logo

We are thrilled to partner with Sleep in Heavenly Peace for the 2022 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service to build beds for children in need. Sponsored by the Flossmoor Community Relations Commission in partnership with the Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department Corporation, which donated $2,000 to purchase all of the building materials will be provided, this special Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr, Day of Service project is a great way to support children in need. We're hoping to build 10 twin bunk beds with the donated materials, but we need you to help us build them!

If you are interested in joining the CRC, Flossmoor Fire Department and Sleep in Heavenly Peace volunteers on Sunday, January 16 to help build beds, you can sign up directly at https://bit.ly/3d64KjI or visit www.flossmoor.org to learn more. Be sure to select the Oak Forest, IL location and the January 16 build date to get signed up.

We only have 50 volunteer slots available, so sign up quickly! If you are unable to help with building the bed or don't sign up in time, you can also participate in this amazing project by purchasing bedding through an Amazon Wishlist, curated by the Community Relations Commission.
