Quick Tips for Kids

• Ask your parents about a home escape plan... make sure you find 2 ways out of every room!
• If you're in a fire, be sure to crawl low under the smoke to the exit.
• If you find matches or lighters, tell a grown-up.
• Practice "stop, drop, and roll" - this will help you if your clothes catch on fire!
• Practice your escape plan.
• Have a meeting place outside.
• Test your smoke detectors!
