Consistent with guidelines for Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan, Village Hall will reopen to the public on Monday, June 29. All services that were made available remotely to accommodate the closure in March will continue to be available remotely until Illinois moves to Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois plan.
Visitors are required to wear a mask or face covering while doing business in Village Hall or other Village buildings.
All visitors should enter through the north doors. The east doors from the parking lot are for ADA access only. Two temperature screening stations are set up at Village Hall. One is located in the lobby near the front desk. The other is located near the Board Room. Any visitor with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher will be retested once and then asked to leave and conduct business remotely if their second screening is not below 100.4.
How to do business remotely with the Village:
The public is encouraged to continue to conduct business via mail, drop box, email or phone.

Vehicle sticker and animal tags applications may be mailed or dropped off in the Village’s parking lot or Police Department drop boxes. Additionally, the Village waived the post-April 15 fee schedule (late fees) for the 2020/2021 season.
Building Permits and Inspections:
PDF’s of all Building Permit Applications are available on our Permit Fact Sheets and Applications page. If you need a copy emailed or mailed please let us know.
Completed applications should be emailed, faxed or returned via U.S. Mail along with any supporting documents (contractor requirements, signed copy of the contract, plat, etc.) and a check with the cost if known. See our Contractor Requirements, Permit Fact Sheets and Applications and Basic Permit Fee pages to help you or call our office at 708-957-4101.
If you (property owner or contractor) are faxing or emailing your application, we will contact you when review is complete with the cost of the permit and ask that you send a check (with construction address on check or attached letter) in the mail or in our drop box in the Village Hall Parking Lot or in the Police Department lobby. At this time our system does not support over the phone credit card payments.
We will then fax the completed permit, email a PDF copy of the permit or the permit can be mailed to you via U.S. Mail. We can also make arrangements for pickup at the Police Department.
