This fall, the Village of Flossmoor will offer a free annual leaf collection service for four consecutive weeks through the month of November, starting the week of November 4. All residents of single-family homes are invited to place their leaves in 33-gallon biodegradable paper bags at the street curb no later than 6 a.m. on their scheduled collection days. No stickers are needed and there are no limitations on the number of bags that can be picked up. Plastic bags or rigid containers will not be collected. No grass clippings, tree branches or other landscape waste will be accepted.
Current customers of Homewood Disposal will have their leaves collected on the same day as their trash is usually picked up. Also, current Homewood Disposal customers will still be able to participate in the sticker yard waste program. Please see the attached schedule for the 2020 fall leaf collection program. For additional information, contact the Public Works Department at (708) 957-4100.
