Paul Braun

Mayor Paul Braun has served on the Flossmoor Village Board since 2002, becoming Mayor in the Spring of 2009. His term expires in 2021.


Mayor Braun holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Wabash College, Crawfordsville, Indiana (1977) and John Marshall Law School in Chicago (1980) and is the managing partner in the law firm Braun & Edwards, Chartered whose office is located in Flossmoor.

Mr. Braun served as Vice President of the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy Of Matrimonial Lawyers, Board liaison to the Village of Flossmoor Community Relations Commission, and the Village Board Home Rule Education Committee.


Mayor Braun's goals for the Village of Flossmoor include the making village government more accessible for all residents, maintaining the financial integrity of Flossmoor, and achieving real estate tax stabilization through increased economic development.

Personal Life

Mayor Paul Braun has been a resident of Flossmoor for over 30 years. He graduated from Homewood-Flossmoor High School in 1972 and is married to Mary Irene Bramlette (Mib) Braun, who is a lifelong resident of Flossmoor.
